The primary requirements for any type of movement on the battlefield are cover and concealment.

Concealment is anything that hides you from enemy ground and air observation. Concealment does not protect you from enemy fire. Concealment, like cover, can also be natural or manmade.

Cover is any type of shielding from the effect of weapons fire, especially direct fires. Cover can also conceal you from enemy observation. Cover can be natural or manmade.
